Hadith 56: Abū Bakr Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn ʿAbdūs al-Ḥīrī narrated to us: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Isḥāq ibn Iبرāhīm al-Baghawī informed us: al-Faḍl ibn Muḥammad al-Rūmī narrated to us: Ismāʿيl ibn Ibrāhīm ibn al-Tarjumān narrated to us: ʿAmr ibn Jamīʿ narrated to us on the authority of Sufyān al-Thawrī, on the authority of Muḥārib ibn Dithār, on the authority of Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Anṣārī – may Allah be pleased with him – who said: The Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace – said: “Whoever acquires lawful wealth with which he preserves his honor, maintains his family ties, settles his debts, and supports his neighbor, shall meet Allah on the Day of Judgement with his face like the moon on the night of the full moon. Whoever acquires forbidden wealth in order to increase, boast, and show off, shall meet Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, while He is angry with him.”
This marks the end of the forty chapters. Praise be to Allah alone, and may His blessings and everlasting peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
