Hadith 43: Sayyid Abū ʾl-Ḥوسayn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn al-Ḥasanī – may Allah have mercy on him – informed us: Abū ʾl-Qāsim ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Bālawayh informed us: Aḥmad ibn Yūsuf al-Sulamī narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us: Maʿmar narrated to us on the authority of Hammām ibn Munabbih, on the authority of Abī Hurayra – may Allah be pleased with him – on the authority of the Prophet – may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace – who said: “If the worker comes to you with food, having spared you its heat and smoke, invite him to eat with you. Otherwise, place a morsel in his hand or let him place it in his hand.”
