بَابٌ فِي أَنَّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَنَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ

Hadith 46: Zayd ibn Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad al-Sharīf informed us in Kufa: Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī ibn Duḥaym al-Shaybānī reported to us, he said: Abū Isḥāق Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar ibn Abī ʾl-Khaybarī informed us: Wakīʿ informed us on the authority of al-Aʿmash, on the authority of al-Shaʿbī, on the authority of al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr – may Allah be pleased with him – who said: The Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace – said: “The believers are like one man. If his head complains, the rest of the body responds with fever and sleeplessness.”

Hadith 47: Abū Nuʿaym al-Isfarāyinī informed us: Abū ʿAwāna informed us: Aḥmad ibn Yūsuf al-Sulamī, al-Ṣaghānī and ʿAmmār, among others, narrated to us, they said: Abū Nuʿaym reported to us, he said: Zakariyyā ibn Abī Zāʾida narrated to us, he said: I heard ʿĀmir say: I heard al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr say: The Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace – said: “The similitude of the believers in their mercy, love, and compassion for one another is like a body. When a part of it complains, the rest of the body responds with fever and sleeplessness.”
