Hadith 19: Imam Abū Bakr Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Fūrak – may Allah have mercy on him – reported to us, he said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Jaʿfar informed us: Yūnus ibn Ḥabīb narrated to us: Abū Dāwūd al-Ṭayālisī narrated to us: Abū ʾl-Ṣabbāḥ al-Shāmī narrated to us on the authority of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Shāmī, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abī Ayyūb, that the Prophet – may Allah bless him and his family – said: “O Abā Ayyūb! Shall I not direct you to a charity with which Allah and His Messenger are pleased?” He replied, “Certainly!” He said, “Reconcile between people when their relations have soured, and bring them together when they have grown apart.”
