34. Aiding the Weak

٥٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْأَدِيبُ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ٱلْأُمَوِيُّ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكُوفِيُّ، ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ٱبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ ﵌: «كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ صَدَقَةٌ، وَٱلدَّالُّ عَلَى ٱلْخَيْرِ كَفَاعِلِهِ، وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ إِغَاثَةَ ٱللَّهْفَانِ.»
Hadith 50: Abū Saʿīd Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Adīb informed us: Muḥammad ibn Yaʿqūb al-Umawī narrated to us: Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Kūfī narrated to us: Jaʿfar ibn ʿAwn narrated to us on the authority of Ṭalḥa ibn ʿAmr, on the authority of ʿAṭāʾ, on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: The Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace – said: “Every act of good is charity, the one who guides to good is like the one who does it, and Allah loves the aiding of the distressed.”
